As I was setting the table for supper, I heard myself say to Sunshine, standing nearby, "You need to take your underpants off the table!"
You have to know that they were new, a gift from Nonny.

My sisters and I keep a running (mental) list of goofy things like that that we say to the kids. My first one was to Lindsey "We don't throw knives!" Who says that to their 2 year old? LOL (We were out to eat at a diner with some friends and she threw a butter knife across the table!)

I love that! "We don't throw knives." Of course, you have to say it in a totally calm voice.
