On the way to church Sunday morning, as we crested a hill, 4 deer dashed across the road in front of us, followed by a pheasant running as fast as his little legs could go. Nine pigeons scattered in the other direction.
So what was going on????

They saw your family coming and ran for the hills.. otherwise they knew you'd kill 'em all and eat them!

We do NOT hunt venison, thank you very much! (although we will eat a free deer if someone gives us one!) And I guess I would know how to clean a pheasant now.....
